“Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing in the center of the throne!”

Revelation 5:6

Look to the slain lamb – JESUS – who left the throneroom of heaven humbling himself to become a man to take our sin upon His shoulders – ‘a man of sorrows acquainted with grief’ nailed the to ‘the accursed tree’ to endure the worst death and seperation from God the Father; as the Saviour of the world. We, if we are believers, must hate sin that nailed him our beloved Saviour to the tree – the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. Sin is Christ’s enemy and our soul’s enemy.

I recall how my dad would/does furiously say ‘Root it out! Get rid of it!’ and the Apostle Paul ‘O wretched man I am who would save me from the sin I do not want to do and the good I do want to do…’ We must truly HATE sin tolerating none of it in our lives because it was our sin that nailed him to the tree – driving the nails into his hands, ‘ashamed I hear my mocking voice call out among the scoffers,’ thrusting the spear in His side, of ‘the (dear) LAMB of GOD who takes away the sin of the world’

Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!” Revelation 5:12
