John-10-10Identifying the Facts

The bible says, in

John 10:10 ‘The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly..’

All humans born and who existed after the fall of Adam and Eve into sin, have been subjected to the curse of sin. That is, death, sickness and oppression of our mortal flesh. This was not the original intent of Yahweh when He made us. His intent was for us to live in paradise with all our needs provided for. His intent was for us to live happily and enjoy the relationships we developed with our chosen mates and children. His intent was for us to live a life without sin.

Fact #1 – The Thief, comes to kill and destroy

Lucifer interfered with the original plan for our existence and as such, we just like him are fallen from our intended spiritual and natural state in God. John 10:10 clearly highlights his role on earth and his intent towards human kind. The devil comes to steal, kill and destroy by any means necessary.

The Devil’s plan for man

The first part of his plan was executed masterfully. We will all die. How we die is the second aspect of his plan. We will either die violently or through sickness. Sickness is the weapon wielded by the spirit of infirmity; a stronghold.

Some of us have generational curses carried through the family line, which propagates a certain kind of sickness spirit. Some of us, because of the bad habits and yielding to certain temptations, like excess and indulgences in drugs, alcohol, food and cigarettes, we eventually become sick and die.

That right there, is how the devil steals our lives and destroys our future. He also destroys our destiny; that is, what we were ultimately put on this earth to do.

God’s Plan for man

Nonetheless, God has always got a plan of rescue, for each and every one of us, as individuals.

  • The first aspect of His plan is salvation. We must believe upon Jesus Christ. We must acknowledge him as Lord and Savior. We must be baptized in Jesus name.
  • Another aspect of His plan, is that we submit to His standards and live a righteous life and a God ordered life.
  • We must obey His laws and precepts, which He has set down for us and not sin. If we sin, we must seek forgiveness. He does not wield condemnation over us, therefore, once we approach with a broken and contrite heart. We and He must move on.
  • We must also maintain a relationship with him. That means that we daily communicate, come into his presence and seek him.

This is Jehovah’s intent for us. To live as true Christians. If we maintain this type of living, there will always be an atmosphere that freely allows the manifestations of the gifts of the spirit. Healing will also manifest. The Holy Spirit will demonstrates God’s sovereign power in our midst.

Apart of this is to meditate on ‘healing scriptures‘. John 10:10 can be interpreted to focus on God’s desire for our Healing.

‘The Thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy (sickness is stealing, killing and destroying). Jesus came that I may have and enjoy life (health), and have it in abundance (‘to the full, till it overflows).

*****

It is only by the direction of the Holy Spirit that I can write this. There is a need to clarify every misunderstanding about Healing in my country, Jamaica and in Jamaican churches. The information that I will present is not of myself; it is completely from the Holy Spirit. I am not a theologian scholar and though I am a writer, I am simply a willing and available vessel for His purposes. I am completely sold out to God in this process.

Identifying the Myths, Lies and Doubt

The bible says, in

John 3:16-17 ‘16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.’

This is a clear demonstration of the extent of God’s love for humanity. Not just collectively, but He loves you and me as individuals, equally. He cares about our every needs and wants; whether we are hungry, clothed, sheltered, happy, sad, sick or healthy. He cares about whether we have a job and about every other desire in our heart. If God loves us so much that He gave His ‘only begotten Son’, why then would He withhold His healing from those He loves? Obviously, there are stipulations for this healing to occur.

Lie #1 – The need is not great

People, ministers, pastors, saints, the wise and the foolish, cast their aspirations and opinions about this matter. They prescribe intellectual explanations as to why healing is not manifesting in Jamaican churches. One such, is that ‘The need is not great‘. Are you saying that the illnesses, suffering and oppression that happen to Jamaican people are no more important than those of the people in the churches of the United States or Nigeria, where there are active healing ministries? Are their needs more important than those here in Jamaica?

I say to you, nay.

To believe such, would be to believe in a lie from the pit of hell.

God’s love does not discriminate. He loves us all immensely and indescribably. He sees the hurt and pain that we all suffer – equally – and wish that we all would approach Him for healing. But we cannot go about it like blind and ignorant Christians, ill prepared and ill-advised about facilitating the manifestation of one of the greatest gifts of God’s love.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.- Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)

There is no way that the devil will make it easy for us to tap into God and the Holy Spirit, without presenting a fight or distraction or deceit to mislead and misdirect us.

Sickness is one of the main weapons of oppression used by the devil against humanity. As such, God says that the enemy has set up a stronghold of deceit, spiritual blindness and frustration to waylay the efforts of the Jamaican churches.

Jamaican Christians and churches will have to go higher in God to attain the prize and conquering the enemy.

Remember, God loves us all equally. He is concerned about your well-being, in the same way that He is concerned about your neighbor, your brother, your boss, your enemy or the stranger you pass on the street. His desire is to see us all walk in health.

HEALING

Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth. – Jeremiah 33:6, KJV

Revealing the truth about Healing to Jamaican churches

Healing, it is one of the most sought after manifestation of the Holy Spirit, but yet still, one of the most misunderstood. It is one of the most intricate gifts that requires complete submission and yielding to the Holy Spirit; not only in the moment, but every day of our lives. This is the requirement for persons who operate not only in this gift but in the ‘Office’. I used the term ‘Office’ simply to show that there is a difference between the sporadic manifestation of healing and the perpetual authority and exercise of this gift.

Much is required from the person who God chooses to be his servant in this way. If we are not totally sold out to Christ, yielded to the direction and leading of the Holy Spirit 100%, praying not just for a minute or when we want something but staying in constant communication with God; then, He cannot use us.

Yahweh, God Almighty wants healing to manifest in every faith filled Jamaican church and for every believer that believes in Jesus Christ and acknowledge Him as Lord and Savior. But, in order for this to happen, every single presentation of false doctrine, ‘lie crutch’, unbelief and the practice of dismissing/shutting down the Holy Spirit MUST DIE in Jesus name.
